:: Worldwide shortage of Hoegaarden? ::
No wonder Bala allows holding only 2 orders of Hoegaarden (read: Hoe-arden) per pax… There’s a bigger problem than just them not ordering enough barrels for their patrons…
There’s a whole load of Belgians beers actually, but I guess it’s the only Belgian beer commonly available in draft here. You can sample a good variety of Belgian beers at Brussel Sprouts and Oosters.
I haven’t been to Oosters myself, but Brussel Sprouts is a great alternative to Brewerkz. Instead of serving home-brewed beers, Brussel Sprouts touts an impressive list of 70 types of beers, mainly Belgian. They also specialize in mussels, you can choose different ways you want your mussels to be cooked. We also had the most expensive 750ml of beer ever! But it was all good, worth every cent of it.
Still, my favorite beer will always be, Heineken.
